Well versed in the art of creating spaces which are defined by a clear style perspective while equally honouring the unique design of the home, Cooper Robinson is established as a leading interior design firm for the residential property market. The firm has a long history with Marshall White and have cemented themselves as one of our preferred interior styling teams for good reason. Marshall White: How did you find your niche as interior specialists for the residential property market?
Megan Robinson: Our background has always been interior design and our family company has been working in this field for years. Our very first real estate styling project was for a private client who needed an investment property make-over for a sales campaign. The property was listed at the time with a Marshall White agent and the rest is history. Interior styling for the real estate sector has been a natural fit for us.
Our large team of experienced stylists come from a diverse range of backgrounds including fashion, magazines and interior design. They all bring their own unique style to the Cooper Robinson brand.

MW: Your style is always simple and well designed with the perfect compromise of neutral and striking elements. What/who are your sources of inspiration?
MR: Thank you! We work from the understanding and principle that you need a great neutral base – whether that be neutrals or greys – before you can start to inject some impact. We are constantly striking a balance between creating a great interior design fit-out and one that complements the home. Particularly for real estate styling, the idea is to enhance the property. At the end of the day, it’s the home that needs to be showcased, not our styling work. It’s a subtle but very important factor. Our large team of experienced stylists come from a diverse range of backgrounds including fashion, magazines and interior design. They all bring their own unique style to the Cooper Robinson brand. Design meetings are our favourite part of the week, covering international trends, local designers and all the amazing content out there.
MW: What are some timeless design elements you're particularly fond of?
MR: I have a lasting appreciation for natural fibres; they bring such a warm, authentic feel to any space. Also, forest green continues to be a favourite base colour for its rich, earthy tones. And, of course, velvet – I love velvet!
MW: In your own home, what are some of your most cherished interior elements?
MR: We have a pretty ‘arty’ home. My kids and their friends are artists. My most cherished elements are the things that make our house a home, such as their paintings and sculptures. My two Golden Retrievers – do they count?
MW: If you could define the style of Cooper Robinson in three words, what would they be?
MR: Considered, personal, layered.
“We love living here, so have never wanted to move. We travel a lot, so it’s good to have a solid base, close to the shops, train and beach. It was great when the kids could walk to school, too.”
His home’s latest renovation was inspired by elements he sees in the stunning Bayside homes he has the privilege of selling.
The transformation included widening the hallway, expanding the open plan area, new engineered oak flooring, a stunning new marble kitchen, and floor to ceiling glass to invite views of the bluestone-surrounds swimming pool. And of course, a dedicated space to display a limited number of surfboards. Robin has kept a few of his current favourite boards including longboards and stand-up paddleboards.
The couple, both from Bayside Melbourne, met on the Sunshine Coast, where 19-year-old Robin was working and living in a sharehouse on the beach, and Geri was visiting on a university holiday. Geri is a recently retired music teacher, and all three of their sons play a variety of instruments.
